Tips on Buying Phentermine Online to Avoid the Fake and Scam Products

These days it is easier than ever to purchase Phentermine online. But just because it is an easier way, it is not necessarily a safe one, so caution should be taken.

With weight loss being a very lucrative niche, combined with the ease of being able to order them from an online pharmacy, it is easy for illegitimate online pharmacies to begin selling diet pills to make a profit.

People ordering Phentermine online may find it is significantly easier than dealing with the comparative slowness of a real pharmacy, but they do need to be aware of the inherent risks of doing so. Drug stores and pharmacies are subject to significant oversight, whereas online pharmacies have next to none.

Safe vs Dangerous Diet Pills

Phentermine, sold under such monikers as LomairaAdipex-P, and Supreza, is a well-known weight loss medication on the market. The important thing to remember is real Phentermine is available only by prescription.

The appeal of online pharmacies is apparent. They offer lower prices and access to prescription drugs without a prescription. This should be an immediate red flag for anyone ordering these pills.

The FDA has issued warnings about the dangers of purchasing from online pharmacies for these reasons.

Online pharmacies have no true regulation like drug stores and pharmacies. They are rife with a lot of unsubstantiated claims about the effectiveness of the drugs they sell, the drug’s origins, and safety. They also do not provide adequate directions for how to take these pills.

These directions would be gone over with anyone picking up at the pharmacy to make sure the user is aware of the proper dosage. This makes purchasing diet pills such as Phentermine at these places significantly more dangerous.

Fake Phentermine Pills are Dietary Supplement?

There is another angle to this, however. In many situations what is being promoted is not real Phentermine, but dietary supplements.

While manufacturers never claim their products as Phentermine, ‘marketers’ promote supplements as if they were genuine Phentermine that can be purchased without a doctor’s prescription (over-the-counter).

We can find many dietary supplements that use the name ‘Phen’ or ‘Fen’ such as PhenQ, PhenGold, Atrafen, and Phen24. It may make you think they are trying to deceive and scam their customers.

The use of the “Phen” or “Fen” term in these products is not to mislead people. It reminds its function as an appetite suppressant that mimics the principle of Phentermine drug.

They make the point several times (in the products label and websites) that their products are dietary supplements not drug.

However, many marketers promote them as if they are real Phentermine and major search engine like Google fails to identify this misleading campaign.

Tips to Buy Phentermine Online:

Check the Ingredients and Brand Names

It is important to remember that it is the ingredients of the diet pill that should be checked. Do not too focus on the name itself, which can make it sound like something it is not.

This is where illegitimate online pharmacies also come up short. There is often not enough of a description of the product to sufficiently verify its actual makeup.

If the active ingredient is not Phentermine, then the pills being purchased are not real Phentermine.

If the information about the ingredients is challenging or impossible to obtain from an online pharmacy, it is the biggest sign of all that is likely not a good place to make this type of purchase.

Some of popular trade names for Phentermine weight loss drug: Acxion, Adipex, Adipex-P, Duromine, Elvenir, Fastin, Ionamin, Lomaira (phentermine hydrochloride), Panbesy, Qsymia (phentermine and topiramate), Razin, Redusa, Sentis, Suprenza, Terfamex.

Meanwhile, PhenQ, PhenGold, Phen24, Atrafen are sold over-the-counter, classified as dietary supplements, therefore, are not regulated by the FDA.

Beware of Huge Discount

Actual Phentermine pills sold at pharmacies are vetted thoroughly and undergo studies, as well as rigorous trial testing before being formally approved by the FDA or NAPRA to be marketed for public consumption.

There is a high level of supervision of the manufacturing process, with a significant audit trail of the movement along the supply chain. Suppliers offering diet pills for lower prices do so because they do not spend the money to include the actual ingredients that make the pills effective.

They instead substitute it with cheaper alternatives, which, at best, can render the pills ineffective of their intentions, but at worst can be detrimental to one’s health or even lethal.

Not having the proper supply chain regulations makes these diet pills vulnerable to contamination during the production process. This also means that there are no mechanisms in place to detect or to avoid these issues.

Without the proper protection mechanisms in place, it is then up to the user who is purchasing phentermine online to look out for their health and self-interest as best as they can on their own. There are a few signs these consumers should look for when making these purchases.

Legitimate online pharmacies will always prioritize patient safety over profits. They will provide extensive information about the ingredients, direction of use, and the dosage of the product that is being sold.

Illegitimate online pharmacies have the opposite intention. They focus more on making profits rather than providing consumers with sufficient information, so their marketing of the product concentrates more on the low prices and discounts rather than patient safety-related matters.

If a website for an online pharmacy seems to focus on making the sale, they are likely trying to distract from one looking into the details of the actual product, and therefore are not a good source to seek any sort of medication purchases.

Check the Regulatory Body Certifications

Another sign to look out for is the references to government-based oversight bodies that are tasked with regulating the production of all medications in the country. This includes the FDA in the United States and NAPRA, as well as Health Canada, in Canada.

If an online pharmacy displays the logo and links to specific documentation on the sites representing these government regulation bodies, the chances are greater that the online pharmacy is a legitimate one, though it is still not a full assurance.

Finally, the consumers should be on the lookout for a .pharmacy inclusion on the domain name of an online pharmacy. This means that this pharmacy is registered with the .Pharmacy Verified Websites Program, controlled by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP).

This program lists only legitimate pharmacies formally registered and vetted as such by the organization, and are likely safe to purchase from.

Dot Pharmacy (.pharmacy) is a good tool for consumers and patients to use when trying to determine whether an online pharmacy is a good candidate for safer Phentermine purchases.
